Resumen
In the following document shown a proposal for a PON network deploying Polarization Division Multiplexing, making an analysis of the effects in this system by sending convergent signals. Are used polarization splitters to split the light beam into two orthogonal components, taking with it two separate beams for which independently are modulated the BaseBand and Radio Frequency signals. Is analyzed the response for a configuration 1 OLT to 1 ONU or 1 OLT to multiple ONUs, over which services multiple types such as WIMAX, LTE, 802.11, among others are unfold. It unfolds with a variable length link between 20 km and 100 km thus determining the maximum distance of network coverage for different numbers of ONUs without any optical amplification.
