Resumen
The report presents the internship “Applied Mathematics: Geometry, Crafts and Entrepreneurship” carried out at the José Félix Restrepo Technical School, aimed at extra-age students, community mothers and senior citizens, within the framework of the Apples of Care program. The project integrated geometry, crafts and entrepreneurship through a STEAM and Project Based Learning approach. Geometric concepts related to tessellations and patterns were taught, applying them to craft products such as cushions, origami and canvases, fostering manual skills and spatial thinking. In addition, notions of costs and commercialization were worked on to promote micro-enterprises. The experience sought to offer flexible educational opportunities that would enhance creativity, generate income and contribute to the personal and social development of the participating population, highlighting meaningful mathematical learning, contextualized and applied to their daily lives.
