In the last decade, mobility in Bogotá D.C has been affected by the excessive increase in the vehicle fleet and the failure to expand and improve the road network (Méndez, Espitia, 2015), consequently, transportation in the current conditions for society in In general, it represents a deterioration in the quality of the trip and travel times, which causes certain people to prefer to take the pedicab service as an alternative means of transportation, which partly solves some of these shortcomings. However, in this type of transportation a couple of problems arise that must be considered, for example: certainty in travel when traveling on the roads and sharing with other vehicles, reliability for users, safety as a result of the delinquency. For this reason, a study of pedicabs in Bogotá D.C was carried out, taking samples, specifically in three areas of the city, in order to study the behavior of pedicabs when they share rights of way with mixed vehicles, bicycles and/or pedestrians in scenarios such as roads, cycle paths and platforms. The starting point of the work is the collection of information, collected through surveys of people involved in the use of this means of transportation (users, drivers and pedestrians); Likewise, the field measurement of different traffic variables (volume, speed), in order to characterize the current situation and based on this, carry out the analyses, approaches, and different contributions that contribute from the academy to improve, it is worth highlighting that understanding The dynamics of the use of pedicabs will be essential to achieve adequate incorporation of these vehicles so that they travel safely and in harmony with pedestrians, bicycles, mixed vehicles and other road actors that circulate alongside them.
