Resumen
The ability of plants extracts such as cassava (Manihot esculenta crantz), mashua cubio (Tropaeolum tuberosum) and Opuntia ficus-indica) were evaluated to reduce pollution in wastewater produced in remove the mucilage of coffee seed to facilitate the sedimentation of organic matter present in these waters, and can be recommended as part of primary wastewater treatment and thus provide an environmentally acceptable alternative. To identify the improve in quality water was necessary to do laboratory tests wherein the change in quality was analyzed before and after use of plant extracts in wastewater by means of physicochemical parameters such as turbidity, pH, acidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, BOD5 and QOD. in order to assess whether there is an improvement in the quality of water it was poured and thus is recommended a system design of wastewater treatment In addition It has been made a technical evaluation in which it analyzed the technicians aspects for installation and maintenance of the system, on the other hand an economic evaluation was conducted to identify whether the project is economically viable to application.
