Abstract

Each project that is born as a solution to a need or as the provision of a service, requires and has its bases both in the completion of a certain goal and in the correct development of the processes and activities to reach that final objective. That is why one of the pillars of modern project management arises, the PMP, focused on the control of internal processes of each company and therefore of each project independently, these activities of control of activities seek the optimization of resources and maximize efficiency in each activity in order to generate ever greater returns. Generally, small and medium-sized companies in the city of Bogotá are born and develop empirically, with the idea of generating profit immediately, in the short term. What the PMP certification seeks in companies and in project managers is to increase the range of success of the projects, by standardizing processes and thus obtaining adequate feedback. Project managers trained in PMP are capable of coordinating and directing any type of project, they will have the certainty of successfully completing the project they direct, maximizing resources and the personnel in their charge, that is why it becomes a great advantage to know these project management techniques.
