Propuesta de implementación de dashboard para seguimiento de indicadores de calidad en salud

Abstract

Faced with the growing need of the entities to have knowledge of their current situation in multiple aspects and to have control in those situations that are not taken advantage of in the best way, or to change, replace and update methods that due to the rapid change and updating that occurs today become obsolete, nowadays, more and more companies or entities decide to implement technological solutions, not only out of necessity, on the contrary, it is already an obligation to update and catch up with current technology and new methods, thus allowing them to optimize their time, resources, processes and efforts in the continuous improvement of their activities. For this, it is necessary to carry out a better use of information and understand the data that are handled in different instances of the processes in order to improve in a multidimensional way in the provision of a service and / or product in the environment where the entity operates. For this reason, this internship work aims to show how the application of data processing and visualization tools have a positive impact on key actions such as the dissemination of information to the users of a system, in this case to the users of the health system in Colombia. The objective of this final internship work is to show the procedure carried out from the data collection, treatment, development and implementation of a Dashboard as a visual tool that allows to monitor the quality indicators in the provision of health services of the actors involved (territorial entities, benefit plan administrators and health care institutions) in Colombia. In order to carry out the project, the following steps were followed: data collection, preparation, analysis and visualization. This allowed to improve the synthesis of the information for the users, to detect the problems that the data had after being extracted, to solve these problems, and to reach the implementation of an easy to understand Dashboard.
