Consideraciones para la implementación del sistema de vigilancia dependiente automática – Radiodifusión (Ads-B) en Colombia

Abstract

This article describes the basic principles of operation of the System Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) and the corresponding main considerations that the Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautic (UDEAC) have established for its implementation and operation in colombia; this in order to increase operational efficiency of airspace, as well as improving the conditions of flight safety, providing surveillance beyond the reach of radar, increasing the accuracy of the position of aircraft in emergency situations and normal operation, facilitating early detection of errors in the insertion of waypoints, warning of unauthorized route deviations, and allows the identification of collision conflict, between others operational conditions.
