Resumen
An Organic Waste Management Plan (OWMP) was designed and implemented at the Las Flores Market Square, with the goal of optimizing the management of organic waste generated by commercial establishments. Through phases of diagnosis, design, implementation, monitoring, and closure, the project achieved the active participation of seven stores, the installation of composting modules, and the promotion of sustainable practices through personalized environmental education. Initiatives such as "Green Ambassadors" and initiatives for the proper management of special waste such as used vegetable oil (WVO) were developed. Although positive results were obtained, the project revealed limitations in the operational capacity for waste treatment, as well as the need for physicochemical analysis of the compost for its commercialization.
