Cinco piezas compuestas a partir de la fusión de elementos del jazz, el rock, el funk y las músicas electrónicas

Abstract

This document describes the process used to create the graduation project "5 COMPOSITIONS COMPOSED FROM THE FUSION OF ELEMENTS OF JAZZ, ROCK, FUNK, AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC," showcasing the various compositional tools and resources obtained from each of the styles managed in the pieces that comprise it. In this regard, the main styles managed are articulated to Jazz fusion; thus, elements of Jazz, Rock, Progressive Rock, Funk, and electronic music and media are seen. It is important to note that being an experience very close to Jazz, the interaction of the musicians on stage is another important component, that is to say, improvisation and the interpretative style of each member play a fundamental role in the final development of the pieces. For the creation of the works, a prior analytical exercise has been carried out, in which an attempt has been made to find ways to fuse and mix the musics. As part of the methodological tools, an exploration of the meaning of the term fusion has been made, and a search that serves as a basis for the characterization of each of the genres used, along with a descriptive approach to the technical resources employed in relation to some of the electronic media used in the pieces.
