Resumen
Geographic information in Colombia has become a fundamental tool for the management of natural resources and the territory, however, the processing of all this spatial data to prepare a procedure requires a high human, economic and temporal resource. , thanks to the accumulation of procedures and amount of information that must be validated and processed both legislatively and technically, in order to issue a license or environmental permit, which is exhausting for government institutions and authorities; This work aims to find an alternative to optimize the validation process of spatial information focusing on the environmental characteristics regulated by an environmental authority in a specific area for development projects. Making these processes more agile, by creating an application in Python that integrates geographic information systems and an environmental validation matrix to carry out a verification of general environmental attributes determined for an environmental impact study of development projects.
