Resumen
The José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden, a district entity and major player in the city's environmental management, is responsible for implementing district environmental education programs. Among them, the urban agriculture program, developed together with the community in the urban and peri-urban areas of Bogotá. The agricultural production of the vegetable garden starts with the assistance of the botanical garden, which provides tools, training and workshops to the community. The District University has made a link from the modality of internships that allows students to participate in them by supporting administrative activities and accompanying the designated professionals in the field. From the projects carried out by the students, the project called "Contribution to the Botanical Garden in the Development of the Urban Agriculture Program, within the framework of environmental education", becomes a favorable instrument to recognize the impact of agriculture in urban spaces. Supported by a demographic study and the characterization of the participants, strategies are implemented to evaluate the social impact of the program in the city of Bogotá
