Abstract

The District University through an agreement with the IDIGER carries out the monitoring and evaluation of the classified sector in high risk zone Altos de la Estancia in Bogotá D.C. The tasks in charge of the university are the monitoring of the mass of land inside the polygon by means of piezometers, inclinometers, cairns and other topographic elements measuring the movement and the conditions that the terrain presents. By the other side, the university is also in charge of evaluating the vulnerability and threat of the environment to the polygon in protection, whereby visits are made and the aspects that measure vulnerability and threat are evaluated in order to provide qualifications that define the state Of the surrounding areas for respective preventions and solutions
