Abstract

In today's digital world, many individuals continue to use weak, repetitive, or easily predictable passwords to protect their online accounts and information. This, combined with a lack of awareness regarding good cybersecurity practices, poses a significant threat in an environment where exposure to cyberattacks is increasingly common. While there are online tools available for generating and evaluating passwords, many fail to provide clear insights into the actual security level or educate the user on how to improve it. The development of secure passwords and evaluation based on technical criteria such as entropy is crucial for ensuring proper protection. Additionally, guiding users on how to create robust and secure passwords fosters a better culture of digital security. Therefore, there is a clear need for an integrated tool that not only generates and evaluates secure passwords but also educates users in the process. This document presents the development of a web application designed to promote the creation and evaluation of secure passwords, outlining the design process, challenges encountered, and decisions made to ensure an effective and functional solution. It also discusses the project’s justification, the importance of the addressed issue, and how the proposal aims to enhance digital security in the current landscape.
