Resumen
The Botanical Garden of Bogotá in the Educational and Cultural Subdirectorate (SEC) manages different lines, including a line of Environmental Social Service and University Practices (SSA and PU). The internship was carried out in these two programs which are part of the Community Environmental Education (EAC) line, responsible for conducting environmental education processes aimed at social organizations and community actors. The SSA is aimed at middle school students, and the PU program for students who wish to complete their university internships at JBB (JBB, 2019). Specifically, the SSA program consists of linking different public and private schools to develop environmental initiatives based on student participation. To carry out these initiatives, a methodological route follows three basic stages: training, formulation and implementation and monitoring of the initiative. By supporting the first two stages it is obtained that the students managed to increase their knowledge regarding the approaches given for the year 2019, these being the main ecological structure, plant cover and biodiversity. In addition, they demonstrated the ability to provide optimal solutions to the problems identified.
