Abstract

The fundamental purpose of recognizing the need to implement an environmental management system in companies focused on achieving compliance with legal requirements to improve the behavior of their environmental aspects is to be able to demonstrate to third parties, mainly customers and administrations, that the organization has an effective environmental management system that has adequate environmental behavior. In the case of SAMPLAG Y CIA LTDA, the generation of hazardous solid waste is frequent and almost daily due to the development of Integrated Pest Management activities, that is why the company has shown an increasing interest great for the proper management of an environmental management system and compliance with the standard. It is presented as a challenge to find the strategies aimed at reducing pollution and controlling environmental deterioration, seeking to achieve greater efficiency through the participation of each member of the organization and the due process to achieve the certification of the ISO 14001: 2015 standard.
