The development raised by this study sought to place the panorama that involves an interdisciplinary approach to about cultural knowledge and musical implications for the dynamics of the Afro-Colombian youth population of the city of Cali in the nineties, about a type of a musical culture based on nodal axis. inside their dynamics with purpose to respond to a number of concerns raised around them they were evident. The research begs the question: What were the conditions of occurrence of receptions and cultural reworkings of Rap in Cali, in the historical and cultural development of the city, according to afrojuvenil population in the nineties? Some research addressed initial studies on groups and rap singers, but none focused on systematically analyze the entire musical production in any period since its inception, as we observed in a first in first developing the framework theoretical referential. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to understand what are the conditions of occurrence of receptions and cultural reworkings of Rap in Cali were, in the historical and cultural development of music in the city, according to afrojuvenil population in the decade of ninety. Other objects of this problem point in the direction to draw a genealogical line of what was the birth of hip hop in the city of Cali and arrival, beyond fashion, media coverage and immediacy. In order to show the form of production of the relevant aspects (songs, lyrical speeches, albums, images, audiovisuals) of young Afro-Colombians linked to hip-hop culture in the city of Cali in the 1990s, as cultural practices of ethnic warranted through its cultural production. The methodological design was used involves a form of theory based on the data collected, based on the analysis of these and their correlations discovered in the fieldwork. The inquiry documentary includes case studies related to the subject, the ethnomusicological analysis helps to create a bibliographical design (which supports the construction of the framework or state of the art), and analytical musical and cultural performance was implemented from the ethnomusicological model Regula Qureshi. These approaches an exploratory, descriptive/explanatory research adds. The analysis will focus on the data of some rappers training spaces, the neighborhood, the reggatekas and some concerts at the city level also of the information contained in records, photos, videos, magazines and some testimonials.
