Resumen
In recent years, graphene and its derivatives, such as graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO), have gained great relevance in various scientific areas due to their remarkable properties, which has generated a growing interest in their application in fields such as medicine, technology and the environment. However, one of the main drawbacks in the production of these compounds, especially rGO, is the use of reducing agents harmful to human health and the environment. This study focuses on obtaining reduced graphene oxide using ascorbic acid as an environmentally friendly reducing agent, in addition to implementing a washing process to remove possible residual traces, allowing its subsequent analysis by UV-visible and Raman spectroscopy.
