Resumen
This thesis presents the design and validation of a managerial strategy supported by a digital solution aimed at optimizing the centralization, prioritization, and management of ideas from support areas in an energy company in Colombia. Based on the diagnosis of a fragmented operation—where different departments worked in silos without clear mechanisms for managing needs or initiatives—the study identified the need to unify efforts through a structured and collaborative approach.
The proposed strategy integrates project management best practices from PMI, agile methodologies (Scrum), and innovation frameworks such as Design Thinking. Additionally, a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) was developed using low-code technologies (Microsoft Power Platform), enabling the implementation of a functional and scalable prototype to support the collection, evaluation, and tracking of internal initiatives.
The project is structured into four main phases: organizational diagnosis, design of the structured model, development of the technological solution, and validation of the MVP with key users. As a result, the solution positions the PMO as the governance leader of the innovation process, improving efficiency, reducing rework, and strengthening strategic alignment among departments.
This project makes contributions at both the organizational and academic levels by demonstrating how the integration of strategy, project management, and digital technology can offer practical solutions to complex challenges within modern organizations.
