Valoración económica de los beneficios ambientales del funcionamiento de la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales (PTAR) en el municipio de Ubaté - Cundinamarca

Abstract

As world populations grow, their survival needs as well and so the consumption of water resources that has risen indiscriminately and both its misuse; this begins to be reflected in water bodies whose original function of supply has changed only by recipients, adjacent to these settlements wastewater. Because of this, the research project wants to generate an economic assessment, which will meet in monetary terms the environmental benefits generated by the operation of the Wasterwater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located in the municipality of Ubaté-Cundinamarca. To do this, the construction of a baseline, as to show the characteristics of the area that will influence the Project thereby permitting identify enviromental impacts resulting through interaction between steps required, is required for project and the environment through an environmental matrix. This matrix will allow these impacts area ranked and subsequently evaluated using the methodology proposed by profesor José Enrique de Tomás Sánchez, allowing to publicize the environmental benefits, which will then be economically valued by cost-benefit methodology. Finally, through economic tools you will be known the economic value have identified environmental benefits and evaluated in the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and how they affect the municipality inder study, economic and environmental issues.
