Abstract

Forest fires are a fundamental problem in our country, because they are the main cause of the decline of forests and the loss of fertile soils around the world, together with the disappearance of native species, the appearance of invasive plant species, the alteration of the cycles of ecosystems and innumerable economic and human losses to which they entail. In this context, it is important to mention the eastern hills of the city of Bogotá, a valuable natural reserve that due to its climatic, hydrographic, environmental and cultural benefits, has been continuously protected for decades by means of legal mechanisms for its conservation. previous associated to that Bogota is threatened by the constant economic, technological, social, demographic and energetic growth, among others. According to the foregoing, there is a problem focused on the absence of an early detection system for forest fires in the city of Bogotá, which will lead to the development of a system for the detection and prevention of fires throughout the document. forestry in order to prevent or detect the occurrence of a fire in time, to be able to intervene in more effective times and to avoid a great extent of the affectation and the potential damage to which the vegetation and the ecosystems are threatened with the occurrence of the fire
