The research "stories of boys and girls, life experiences in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic" seeks to understand the significant moments experienced since the isolation of a group of boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12, belonging to the Educational Institution Share located in Soacha - Cundinamarca, with which the focus group “Stop! pause, breathe and tell" and it was possible to develop 7 workshops in the face-to-face and virtual modality to obtain the stories from guiding questions and pedagogical experiences. As for the theoretical journey that supports this research, it begins with the development of the state of knowledge from the contributions of a documentary nature about the family, school and culture contexts during the COVID-19 pandemic, continues with a historical journey in the face of epidemics. and pandemics that humanity has experienced through the ages and how the health and social mechanisms have been created to survive them. It concludes with the historical contextualization of the COVID -19 pandemic, the economic, social and educational impact in Colombia, the vaccination process and the role of children immersed in the COVID - 19 pandemic in the Colombian context. On the theoretical framework, the research focuses on the conceptual categories of childhood, language, story and experience. This research is situated within the qualitative and narrative approaches, as well as makes an approach to the meaning of communities of practice and the contexts in which they are built. Faced with the techniques of investigation and collection of stories, it was decided to implement the strategy of a focused group and the implementation of workshops. To conclude, the findings of the present investigation reveal, through the expressions related to COVID-19 registered in each of the selected stories, the experiences lived in the pandemic and the relationships that are generated between them, as well as the elaboration of a pandemic glossary that relates terminology to children's stories.
