Resumen
This report synthesizes all the information and activities that were carried out during the internship at the the Laboratory and Environmental Innovation Directorate of the Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca (CAR), which works jointly with the of Cundinamarca (CAR), which works jointly with the Ministry of the Environment to monitor and guarantee the and guarantee the execution of plans and projects that protect the environment and renewable resources and renewable resources; among its functions is to develop and define measurements, characterizations and follow-up of techniques and methodologies that serve for the prevention of contamination in soils, water and pollution in soil, water and especially in this case in air. This internship was developed in a period of 3 months and 20 days, from August to November 2023. Within the framework of this project, a research was carried out in academic papers, focused on particulate matter in soil, water and especially on particulate matter emanating from mobile sources and how it pollutes the environment, in addition to pollutes the environment, in addition to making a database of how many and which are the methodologies developed in Colombia against the methodologies developed in Colombia regarding the equipment used and what information is available from previous available from previous research. The analysis of these investigations provides a clear and conclusive understanding of the pollutants released through vehicle exhaust. To carry out these measurements accurately and reliably ELPI®+ is used to carry out these measurements accurately and reliably. This instrument is a widely used particle size spectrometer for real-time measurements and offers the unique ability to measure particle size distribution and concentration over a wide range from 6 nm to 10 μm with a single measurement technique. Operating at a sampling rate of 10 Hz, it classifies particles into 14 size fractions and allows up to 500 bins with the High Resolution ELPI+ upgrade. The development of this methodology expands knowledge about air pollution and provides practical tools to address the problem in the country, providing data that will serve as a basis for modifying current regulations.
