Resumen
The purpose of this work is to deliver a product, in which Colombian Andean sounds and instruments merge with progressive metal, emphasizing the tiple. To do this, the author contextualizes the reasons for this approach to these types of music, where the value of the training processes in some institutions is mentioned, as well as the influence of the people who inspire these experimentation scenarios and the method used to analyze these songs. On the other hand, the morphological work on two tiples is mentioned, which were modified to facilitate the execution of these repertoires; Also, some of the technical requirements are described, which help the amplification of the instruments and the processing of their sound by means of effect pedals. Finally, a timbre analysis of two metal works by the bands Porcupine Tree and The Contortionist is made, where the timbre curve and the energetic behavior of these songs are shown by recognizing elements and tools that contribute to the realization of the arrangements, made specifically for two instrumental formats including the tiple.
