Resumen
It is very common for today's business organizations to face changes in their environments that force them to adjust and adapt their strategies and actions very quickly. In an increasingly competitive environment, organizational agility has become an important trait that can have major performance impacts; organizations capable of responding quickly to changes in their business environments will surely be able to improve their performance. Despite the fact that the number of investigations regarding the effects that agility has on the performance of the organization has been growing; Research on the resources and capabilities that enable companies to be agile are still in the early stages (Ravichandran, 2017). Different conceptual models about how to improve organizational agility have been proposed (Preiss et al., 1996; Gunasekaran, 1998; Bottani, 2009; T.-H. Chang & Wang, 2009; Gunasekaran, 1998; Hsu et al., 2009 ; Jackson & Johansson, 2003; Liao & Ho, 2010; Moskowitz & Kim, 1997; Preiss et al., 1996; Tseng & Lin, 2011; Zhang & Sharifi, 2007); However, choosing the alternative that best allows adapting to change and improving agility in a business organization not only depends on the ability of the decision maker, when evaluating the possibilities or following a model, but also depends on the organizational structure , which has a determining effect on the performance of the organization because it defines how these decisions are made and implemented (Sah & Stiglitz, 1985, 1986). Starting from the previous premise, this research analyzed whether the concept of collective intelligence and the elements that compose it give agility to business organizations; For this purpose, a multiagent simulation model was designed, implemented and verified that represents the collective intelligence genome proposed by (TW Malone et al., 2010) and different configurations of it were established in an environment with emergent situations in which a organization with hierarchical structure.
