Resumen
This report is the result of the university internship carried out at the Botanical Garden of Bogotá, which allowed the exchange of knowledge and the recognition of responsibility towards caring for the environment, this being part of a strategic exercise to recreate an aging active and happy in the capital district. In an agreement between the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas and the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden, the internship was carried out in the urban agriculture guidelines. The Active and Happy Aging program carried out in different day centers in Bogotá aims to appropriate strategies that allow seniors to interact, allowing them to improve their quality of life through learning and consolidation of spaces for participation. This internship work was carried out directly at the Carlos Gaviria day center, located in the town of Ciudad Bolívar, in which it was possible to consolidate knowledge with the elderly and as a consequence generate environmental awareness for the production of their own food, ensuring thus a self-consumption in the adaptation of usable small spaces.
