Resumen
This research work seeks to demonstrate the importance of generating an adequate and efficient land governance, which aims at access, greater efficiency and use of land, in other words, it seeks legality in terms of land titling in the Colombian territory through alternative, innovative, fast and transparent methodologies, as a solution to the traditional processes in hands of national public entities such as the Agencia Nacional de Tierras (ANT). To the above text can be added, the objective of this investigation is to estimate the costs associated with the Fit For Purpose (FFP) methodology and compare them with the traditional methods used in the land formalisation process through Montecarlo simulations. As a result, there are 16 different cases that consider different variables that can affect the total cost of the project such as: distance, number of plots, size of the vereda and topography. Within the research, a cost range of 60 to 150 dollars was obtained for the FFP methodology, while for traditional methodologies, such as the one used by ANT, a range of 286 to 311 dollars were obtained for the formalisation of a property.
