Resumen
Water is a vital resource increasingly impacted by human activities, raising growing concerns due to its importance for life and the environment. In this context, the need to develop strategies to protect and conserve this resource is recognized, especially in industrial sectors like floriculture, where intensive water use can significantly affect the availability and quality of water resources. This work proposes the creation of a guide establishing guidelines for the application of wastewater treatment technologies to promote water recirculation and reuse in the floriculture industry. The main focus of this work was to identify and evaluate different wastewater treatment technologies and analyze their costs and benefits in terms of sustainability and efficiency. To achieve this objective, comprehensive research was conducted, including a review of scientific literature, analysis of case studies, and consultations with experts in the fields of wastewater treatment and floriculture. Based on this research, the objectives and scope of the guide were defined, as well as the criteria for selecting the treatment technologies to be included. Once the guidelines were established, the design and development of the various sections of the guide were carried out, including detailed information on the available treatment technologies, their advantages and disadvantages, and recommendations for their implementation in the specific context of the floriculture industry. This guide is expected to serve as a practical and useful tool for companies in the floriculture sector, providing them with valuable information to make informed decisions about managing and treating their wastewater. Additionally, it aims to promote sustainable and efficient water use practices, helping reduce the environmental impact of this industry and ensuring the availability of this vital resource for future generations.
