Resumen
The Guajiro literary tale, a strategy to enhance reading comprehension, it is a research project that had the purpose of increase reading comprehension, using Guajiro literary tales as a learning strategy based on a pedagogical intervention with the 3rd year students of the Roque de Alba and Luis Beltrán Dangond Branch primary school. It was worked with the qualitative approach, the hermeneutical interpretive paradigm, the action research methodology and the design and implementation of a didactic sequence, which included metacognitive reading strategies. The didactic sequence, Cuando El Rancherìa Besa el Mar, looks for to enhance reading comprehension and boost reading in students from the interaction with the literary story Pedacito de tierra bonita by Vicenta Siosi Pino, Wayuu writer, the paticipants shared experiences and knowledge, which favored dialogue, respect and healthy coexistence.
