Resumen
Camera calibration is an essential process in the development of photogrammetry to determine with accuracy the geometric and physical parameters inherent to photographic capture. This procedure not only ensures image quality but also guarantees reliability on the metric data obtained. Given the significant increase in the use of non-metric cameras in various applications, the importance of cali-bration has become more prominent in specialized literature, reflecting the compelling need to ad-dress this crucial aspect for the accuracy and reliability of photogrammetric results. This investigation conducts a literature review to synthesize backgrounds and progress on this sub-ject, finding, describing various methods, and evaluating the quality of the results obtained. The study focuses on the calibration of non-metric cameras for high-precision photogrammetry by conducting a detailed examination of the factors to be corrected and analyzing the procedures per-formed by Agisoft Metashape software and the Camera Calibration application in MATLAB. Through this, an exhaustive analysis of the methods employed, operations developed, correction capability, efficiency, and the focus of both tools can be conducted.
