Abstract

The Responsible Production and Consumption and Agricultural Sector group of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development coordinates the formulation of the Sustainable Production and Consumption Policy with a Circular Economy Approach, -hereinafter PPyCREC- which aims to differentiate itself from the policy established in 2010 by including the Circular Economy factor and the participatory and active involvement of stakeholders and sectors of the Colombian economy. To this end, various activities were carried out to collect and validate information that strengthened the diagnosis and formulation of the policy, all under a detailed multi-criteria, statistical, and qualitative analysis that made it possible to define which sectors and subsectors were prioritized, with Popular Economies as one of the cross-cutting references, which in turn served the objective of giving the PPyCREC a distinctive character.
