Abstract

This research project is developed as a study of the importance of data governance; process that involves disciplines, such as data quality, life cycle management, architecture and integration of the different sources that originate it. For this specific study, emphasis will be placed on the management of the master data, an asset that currently supports mission critical processes within companies and, likewise, the focus of research will be on retail companies.Research will be supported through SAP MDG software that, within a framework of products for the management of business information, focuses on the study of the disciplines previously named for the master data.As a result of this collaborative work and research, a document will be delivered with each of the items found and records that will allow them to follow the model applied to the company "SUPERMERCADOS LA COLONIA".
