El proceso de conurbación Bogotá-Soacha, y sus implicaciones en la movilidad en el municipio de Soacha

Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the Bogota-Soacha conurbation process, and from this analysis to show the influence of this process on the mobility of the municipality of Soacha. A contextualization of the two territorial entities was carried out, comparing the characteristics of their population growth, spatial interaction, soil value and communication channels. The results obtained in this investigation revealed the lack of adequate planning not only at the district level, but also at the municipal, departmental and national levels, which led to the Bogotá-Soacha conurbation process causing negative impacts on both social, political, economic, , among others. From these impacts, it was demonstrated that this process triggered a deficient mobility system in the road infrastructure and in the provision of public transport service in the municipality of Soacha.
