En el municipio de Turmequé, Boyacá la población ha disminuido significativamente por diferentes causas. El municipio es principalmente de vocación agrícola, sin embargo las deficiencias en las políticas agropecuarias han afectado las condiciones de vida de los habitantes del sector rural. A partir de este contexto ha surgido la necesidad de formular la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿Cuál es la relación que existe entre la sostenibilidad y la soberanía alimentaria en el municipio de Turmequé, Boyacá? y para resolver está pregunta se ha desarrollado el presente estudio de investigación titulado: “Evaluación de la relación entre sostenibilidad y soberanía alimentaria - en el municipio de Turmequé Boyacá, Colombia”. El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar la relación que existe entre la sostenibilidad y la soberanía alimentaria en el municipio de Turmequé Boyacá, para el logro de este objetivo se recolectó información primaria, a través de una encuesta aplicada a 48 fincas del municipio, además, se utilizó una metodología de investigación mixta (cualitativa y cuantitativa) la cual permitió evaluar el índice global de sostenibilidad y soberanía alimentaria del municipio.
Resumen
In the municipality of Turmequé, Boyacá the population has decreased significantly due to different causes. The municipality is mainly of agricultural vocation, however the deficiencies in the agricultural policies have affected the living conditions of the inhabitants of the rural sector. From this context has emerged the need to formulate the following research question: What is the relationship between sustainability and food sovereignty in the municipality of Turmequé, Boyacá? and to solve this question has been developed the present research study titled: "Evaluation of the relationship between sustainability and food sovereignty - in the municipality of Turmequé Boyacá, Colombia." The objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between sustainability and food sovereignty in the municipality of Turmequé Boyacá. In order to achieve this objective, primary information was collected through a survey applied to 48 farms in the municipality, a methodology of mixed research (qualitative and quantitative) was used which allowed to evaluate the overall index of sustainability and food sovereignty of the municipality.
