Resumen
One of the most frequent consequences of cerebrovascular accidents is the paralysis of one side ofthe body, known as hemiplegia. Robotic rehabilitation presents a solution for treating this condition. In this context, research projects are being developed to create electronic instrumentation focused onrobots for gait rehabilitation. In the undergraduate project titled “Biomechanical Signal MeasurementSystem for Walking Based on Embedded Systems", a device was designed to measure biomechanicalsignals of the leg using inertial and electromyography sensors. However, the scope of the mentionedproject only allowed for validation of this device through a proof of concept on an individual.Since this device is a prototype expected to be improved within the LASER research group, it is necessary to carry out the corresponding validation with a larger number of individuals. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to generate a database that collects the information provided by themeasurement device from a group of healthy individuals. The expected outcome of this project is to create a database with accurate readings of the biomechanical signals. For this reason, it is necessary to adjust some measurement parameters that were not taken into account in the previous project. As a result, the project will include the measurement protocol, measurements on a large group of users, and the corresponding evaluation of the measurement device.
