Abstract

This report presents the internship experience carried out as a jury–mediator in the 2022 School Arts Festival (FEA), organized by the District Secretariat of Education, the Secretariat of Culture, and the Universidad Distrital. It describes the processes of artistic evaluation, accompaniment, and mediation conducted during the institutional, local, and district phases of the festival, as well as the assessment of student work across various artistic fields. The document also reflects on art in schools as a formative practice that nurtures sensitivity, creativity, and meaningful expression. From a personal and teaching perspective, the report examines the tensions between artistic practice and the structure of the school system, emphasizing the need for an art education that is flexible, reflective, and continuously evolving.
