Resumen
Given the current conditions worldwide where cities capable of offering an ecological, advanced and sustainable space are required, the concept of "Smart Cities" draws more and more attention to offer a modern quality of life that not only provides facilities for life but also be friendly to the environment that surrounds it. Pollution, accelerated industrial and technological development, global warming, among others, are problems that we currently live with, however, this pace of life does not lead humanity and our ecosystems towards a good destiny, but on the contrary accelerate a possible environmental catastrophe. This is why it is important to work on the development of environmentally friendly and efficient technologies that allow us to intelligently manage the resources we have without generating pollution or wasting them. The adaptation of the concept of Smart Cities is becoming more frequent in large cities in North America and Europe such as New York, London and Paris, however, the size of such cities makes the use of new technologies a much greater challenge. than the one that cities par excellence in the matter have had to face, such as Oslo, Vienna, Amsterdam or Copenhagen. These cities have adopted methods ranging from the use of ecological buses to reduce emissions to the use of “smart lights”, through the use of special sensors, the intensity is reduced remotely to save energy. With the project described in this monograph, it is intended to delve into this concept of smart cities to contribute to the development of the city and raise awareness of the importance of starting to build sustainable environments through the use of clean and renewable energies, use of technologies related to IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) and others that are already being applied in different industrial fields.
