Resumen
One of the main environmental problems presented in Bogotá is air pollution. Particulate matter, remnants of combustion processes of different industrial activities and natural processes that are suspended in the air, it is one of the main causes of foliar damage in the trees and therefore it is necessary to recognize the biochemical response of some species of the urban woodland of Bogotá against environmental factors, identifying their tolerance or sensitivity to pollution. To do this, there were several biochemical tests to determine the effect of contamination within the framework of the investigation "Effect of the variation in the levels of precipitation and the quality of the air in the attributes physiological and biochemical of Lafoensia acuminata, Prunus serotina and Croton bogotanus in the city of Bogota, Colombia" in samples of the mentioned species from material collected in the localities of Engativá, Suba, Usaquén, Kennedy, San Cristobal and Jardín Botánico de Bogotá. During the internship is determined the concentration of ascorbic acid, concentration of total chlorophyllss, A and B, carotenoids and pH foliar getting a variation in concentrations of the different biochemical parameters depending on the locality. Therefore, highlights the importance of working with biochemical indicators and standardize protocols that permit the evaluation of the different tree plant species in the urban woodlands of the city of Bogota.
