Resumen
In this paper we study a two-phase flow, which consists of the interaction between fluid with immersed solid particles to it, due to the theoretical difficulty that appears to calculate all the stress from the interaction of both solid-solid and fluid-solid, and the boundary conditions, we propose a numerical approach in which the movement is simulated, based on the macroscopic equations for both the fluid and the solid particles. We developed a compendium of programs in ROOT that solve the Navier-Stokes equations which describe the liquid phase using the finite element method, and an explicit method that solves the equations of motion of Newton for the solid particles; thus, at the step at the time increases the positions of the particles and the velocity field are calculated iteratively. The numerical simulation allows to understand the system dynamics, and calculate both the movement of the solid particles and the movement of the fluid. We got important features in the study of two-phase flows which are contrasted with experimental results.
