Resumen
This book describes the development of a tool for image recognition of electrical circuit diagrams containing elements such as resistors, capacitors, earth and different types of sources, and converts it to a file with the circuit description in VHDL-AMS format , with the aim of optimizing the process of electrical circuit design. In the first instance, data are collected that correspond to schematic images of electrical circuits, of which 80 percent were made by hand and 20 percent obtained from texts. It shows the treatment that is made to the input data that corresponds to the image of the electric circuit diagram, it goes on to explain the recognition system, starting with the characteristics and the requirements to be taken into account for the choice of these, In addition, the manual construction of decision trees is presented as a classification method for the identification of circuit elements, which has not been implemented in previous works for the recognition of electric circuits. Finally, the VHDL-AMS format was presented, which allows the description of the electrical circuit, with the elements identified and the connections between them. Once the description is obtained, the results of the implemented algorithm are evaluated.
