Resumen
This document presents the results obtained from the measurement carried out in the 16,145 kilometers of vehicular road network and 536 kilometers of bicycle paths of the 19 urban locations of the city of Bogotá, with respect to eight variables captured by the Safetipin application and that in turn they identify women in space as they are: the lighting of the city, the state of the roads and paths through which they move, the proximity to the transport system, the opening of the space that allows observing in different directions, the presence of security agents, the possibilities of being observed from doors, sales or by salespeople, the number of people who are in the space, as well as the diversity of these in terms of age and sex. The information obtained was stored in a spatial database designed for research and that allows consultation of the data obtained. With the data obtained and the methodology used in its analysis, it was possible to obtain information regarding:
- Incidence of the variables in the conception of safe spaces for women.
- Index of security and insecurity in the public space of the city.
- Recognition of the occupation of the night space. This initiative was born in order to recognize violence against women in the city as an existing problem, identify its growth, the variables that promote it, the structural problems (physical and cultural) of the city and, according to this information, propose actions improvement that in the future may represent a decrease in all types of violence in public space.
