Resumen
In order to provide an alternative for teaching and understanding the concept of boundary layer in secondary and higher education, an experimental proposal was made based on the CTSA (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) approach, which incorporates three fields of study (Sports, aerodynamic and architectural), each field includes different practices based on particular situations of fluid mechanics, using a prototype wind tunnel previously designed and built. The wind tunnel developed and implemented for this purpose, was made with low cost material, which facilitates the access of this equipment to educational institutions with few economic resources. On the other hand, it is important to mention that during the implementation of the classroom experiences with the help of the material developed, new technologies were used, which represented a growing and dynamic interest of the students in the use of the proposed pedagogical tool. This paper presents the development and implementation of the wind tunnel to improve teaching - learning processes in the classroom, in the area of fluid mechanics, which is of great academic interest due to the multiplicity of applications it presents.
