This project proposes developing the management and creation of a reliability-based maintenance (RCM) plan for a Heat & Control PC-26 fryer on a potato chip production line. This plan aims to implement maintenance activities that adequately address the needs of the equipment, improving plant availability. Currently, the snack production company where the potato chip fryer equipment is located lacks maintenance software, a defined preventive maintenance plan, intervention instructions, checklists, procedures, lubrication routes, properly identified equipment, and historical information on the different assets such as: failures, interventions, downtime, critical spare parts, life records, among others. Therefore, only corrective interventions are carried out on the plant's machinery, and specifically on the potato chip fryer, directly affecting the company's productivity, increasing costs and downtime, decreasing the reliability and useful life of the equipment, and generating high safety risks. Using the RCM (Reliability-Based Maintenance) methodology, during the development of this project, a maintenance plan will be created for a Heat & Control PC-26 brand fryer, performing failure analysis, identifying the critical components that affect the machine's productivity, and strategies will be proposed to reduce the occurrence of unscheduled stops and mitigate their impact on the equipment. Upon completion of this project, a preventive maintenance plan will be completed for the French fryer equipment, establishing the maintenance frequencies for each of its components. A maintenance history and technical sheet will be created, recording the maintenance history, failures, a list of critical spare parts, specifications, causes of failure, and other information. Additionally, maintenance instructions will be created for the most critical tasks encountered and lubrication routes, thereby increasing the company's productivity, increasing equipment reliability, reducing unscheduled downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and improving safety.
