Resumen
This document embodies the practical exercise of theoretical research process that aimed to identify the imaginary social meanings that have children on father figure of Santa Librada College, to understand the forms of relationship established in the school context. This research is qualitative, was conducted with children of school Santa Librada of Usme, they were used as instruments for data collection: participant observation, the iconographic workshop, semi-structured interviews and life stories; which they allowed us to see the image, the concept and the feeling with the children about their father. As a theoretical framework the theory of social imaginary was used from the historical and sociological perspective of Cornelius Castoriadis, theoretical framework that allowed us to reveal the different meanings of the imaginary father figure of children emerging in the discourse and own experiences of each research participants
