Resumen
This degree project aimed to compose a musical work in the "enteverao" format, based on traditional music from the Colombian-Venezuelan plains. The work integrates instruments from the symphony orchestra with typical instruments of the Llanero Joropo. For its development, the instrumentation of Venezuelan urban ensembles that include Llanera music in their repertoires was taken as a reference. In addition, auditions and transcriptions were carried out to delve into the melodic, rhythmic, harmonic, and timbral aspects of the genres included in the entreverao. As a complement, the background and current state of urban ensembles in Venezuela were investigated through bibliographic consultations and interviews with musicians from recognized groups such as Gurrufío and El Cuarteto. The work is divided into two parts: the first contains the theoretical framework, the research on urban ensembles, the musical elements used, and a formal description of the work. The second includes the score, the instrumental parts, a compact disc recording, and a video with interviews and presentations of the ensembles.
