Abstract

This project "Proposal of geometric design of a freeway second level to Bogotá Section II on the 26th Street, Avenue of the Americas and 13th Street corridor, from AvenidaCircunvalar With Calle 20 to Calle 13 and Avenida Boyacá” it arises as a study of pre-feasibility to present an alternative to improve the mobility of the Bogota city, because nowadays it presents serious problems for the population and the speeds of flow of transit are worse, the discomfort to the drivers is high and worsens. In the first place, were made vehicle measurements over strategy points in the city, with the object to establish with the historical information of counts, obtained from the Secretaría de Movilidad, to define a projection of transit future to 20 years. As result, the service level to satisfy the highway proposal as well as the number of lanes suitable for its operation. Later, was drawn a digital model terrain starting from cartographies in format .PDF obtained in the InstitutoGeografico Agustin Codazzi, however, due of the antiquity of these, were decided to look for recent information, it were found in the district portal Infraestructura de DatosEspaciales para el Distrito Capital (IDECA), delimiting the area of interest for the highway project. Doing an integration of software that make easier of the information use and the development of the geometric design of highway, were done: the horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, transverse sections, emphasizing the use of viaduct in most of the alignment, except the open-air highway.
