Resumen
The territory known as the Savannah of Bogotá, has been experiencing an unusual transformation in the last two decades. Traditional rural scenario in the collective imaginary since the nineteenth century, the rural territory has been disappearing to make way for housing projects of different level, as well as the establishment of complex industrial polygons that exert some effects Environmental impacts with regional impact. The city of Bogotá and its metropolitan area has been experiencing physical and demographic growth since the beginning of the decade of 1950, which has directly determined the emergence of highly complex social phenomena and environmental facts. The conformation of Bogotá as an important city in the national context since the middle of the last century, translates into greater demand for housing, public services, road infrastructure, community services, Employment and social assistance among others. This research constitutes a second phase of the project entitled: "Regional Development and environment: challenges for the construction of the metropolitan region of Bogotá", supported by the research center of the District University and conducted Between the years 2009-2012. In this current phase is intended to take a look at eleven municipalities in the Savannah of Bogotá where there is evidence of a population dynamics On the territory that presupposes the disappearance of the rurality within one to two decades.
