Resumen
This paper shows the design and construction of an educational tool for the learning of the alphabetic braille reading system is shown, implementing the LEGO MINDSTORMS education kit in LEGO and implemented on the PSOC microcontroller platform. Initially, the characteristics of the Braille system are studied, obtaining as a reference the generator sign, as this is the basic unit of the Braille system. For the design of the prototype The LEGO Desingner software is used to determine the necessary parts for its construction, after which the required electronic components that make up the functional system are determined. Digital audio sampling is also done using matlab to audio.wav files corresponding to each letter of the alphabet, obtaining a data vector that is passed to the (DAC) analog digital converter that contains the microcontroller to obtain the audible signal as a result. Finally, pilot tests are carried out to evaluate the prototype.
