Teniendo en cuenta la relación profunda que guardan la actividad musical con la práctica religiosa de la sociedad, es vital que los músicos ayudemos a fortalecer los canales de comunicación entre la iglesia y el arte musical. En esa dirección, el presente trabajo recoge un conjunto de cantos que aportan al repertorio que integran las celebraciones litúrgicas de la Iglesia Católica, organizados teniendo en cuenta el tiempo del año litúrgico y el orden en el que se deben interpretar dichos cantos. El documento está dirigido a músicos que deseen desempeñarse dentro del ministerio musical o que sencillamente quieran conocer cómo actúa la música dentro de una celebración eucarística siguiendo las normas y parámetros dictados por la Iglesia y las razones por las que se pueden o no incluir determinados cantos, según su texto y pertinencia.
Resumen
Considering the profound relationship between musical activity and the religious practice of our society, it is crucial that musicians help strengthen the communication channels between the church and the musical art. Having said this, the present paper includes a set of songs that contribute to the repertoire that make up the liturgical celebrations of the Catholic Church, organized according the liturgical time and the order in which these songs should be interpreted. The document is aimed to musicians who wish to perform within the musical ministry or who simply want to know how music acts within a eucharistic celebration following the norms and parameters dictated by the Church, and the reasons why certain songs may or may not be included, according to the lyrics and relevance.
