Resumen
In this project, we propose the implementation of two algorithms based on cellular automata that simulate two image processing techniques, noise elimination and edge detection. This process is developed through the application of two important qualities, a Moore neighborhood and the adaptive behavior of the cellular automaton. In the initial part, an explanation of the fundamental issues that are part of the scope of this project will be given, subsequently; a bibliographic review of the various investigations that have been carried out will be presented, both for the elimination of noise and for the identification of contours, taking into account that they are only considered as valid, all those that use cellular automata, because this gives a solid basis to compare the results presented in this research. However, the evolutionary process of the algorithms will be presented during the course of the investigation. Likewise, the operation of these techniques will be presented separately, and how they are linked, so that finally, one is the complement of the other. Finally, the results obtained and the existing possibility of expanding the development of the proposed models will be shown.
