Resumen
In the marine ecosystem, the impact of climate change influences the abundance, distribution and range of migration of species. Therefore, this research project aims to carry out an ecological niche modeling for the species Megaptera novaeangliae of the Balaenopteridae family, Cetacea order, in a climate change scenario as it passes through the Colombian Pacific. For this, presence data was used downloaded from the GBIF and SiB Colombia databases and with climatic layers obtained from the Bio-Oracle version 2.2 portal and through R 4.2.2 and Maxent version 3.4.3 the niche model was made. The study determines that the increase in global temperature in turn increases the temperature of the oceans, which considerably reduces the probability of the presence of M. novaeangliae off the Colombian Pacific coast, altering its ecological niche, which can have serious consequences for the species as this is its place of reproduction
